Psalm 84:10 says, “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere…”

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good…”

At a tailgate party before the Razorback game tonight, I tasted a lot of good food. Then with two of my kids, I watched the Razorbacks win 28-24 by coming from behind in the 4th quarter.

Being close to God is better…better than a thousand days at the beach or at Disney World or at Razorback victories. Better than the best tasting food and drink.

We don’t really believe that though. Do we?

I’m sorry to say I don’t always believe it…at least not by the way I live.
