As I was walking back home from the fitness center on campus this morning, one of the songs on my playlist was Lifehouse’s, “Everything.” One of the lines in the chorus is this: “You’re all I want, You’re all I need.”
It got me thinking about only wanting what I need. Easier said than done, huh? I can tend to want a lot I don’t really need.
And yet if I choose to delight in Christ, to want Him more than I want other things, I find my wants and desires fall in line with His…and He graciously grants them.
As you draw near to God today, meditate on the implications of Psalm 37:4 in your life:
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
