Don’t Let Easter Become Familiar

The familiar can lose its significance.

It’s spring again so the trees are blooming…all by themselves…with no help from anyone. It’s an amazing occurrence.

You awoke again this morning. You’re still breathing. Your heart beat through the night again. Incredible.

You have enough to eat today. All you had to do was open the cabinet or refrigerator door and there it was. Not so easy for much of the world and yet we don’t give it a second thought.

Jesus died for you. God…came in the form of a human being…and died…on a cross…for you.

It’s too familiar for some of us. We’ve heard it all before. Stop and think about it though. God died for you. God did. The eternal creator of the universe died for you.

Then He came back to life.

So if you have placed your faith in Jesus, then you are forgiven. God fully loves and accepts you now. You have peace with Him. Your sin no longer separates you from Him.

May it never become familiar to us.
