For Such A Time As This

For a long time now you’ve had a desire in your heart. It’s been a New Year’s resolution more than once. You made it a goal and developed a plan to achieve it.

And yet it’s not complete. In fact, you haven’t really even gotten started on it.

Life got in the way. You got distracted. Maybe you weren’t sure where to start. Or it could be you shared it with someone else and they discouraged you. Whatever the case, the desire hasn’t gone away. The ember is still burning and if you blow just a little, you can see it start to glow.

What is it for you? What desire has God put in your heart?

Write a book? Start a business? Lead a Bible study? Travel across Europe?

It’s not going away. You’ve got to do it.

Now is the time. Take the first step. Get started on it. Ask God to renew your passion and give you his power…then get moving.

Queen Esther had a task to complete. You can read it here. When Mordecai sensed her shrinking back from it, he said:

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

What if the desire or assignment God has for you is not only to accomplish His will, but to allow you the joy of experiencing Him? God’s plan will be accomplished whether we cooperate or not. He’ll raise up someone to do what He wants done.

What has God given you the joy and privilege of doing?

Will you do it?
