40 Days of Believing God – Day 14

In the first chapter of Numbers, God commands Moses and Aaron to take a census of the nation of Israel. Since there are hundreds of thousands of Israelites, God gives them the names of 12 men who are to help.

Do you ever stop to think that God knows your name?

God is not far away and impersonal. He knows your name. He knows you. He knows what you’re concerned about. He knows your strengths and weaknesses. He knows what you’re good at and what you enjoy doing. He knows your every need.

If God seems distant today, stop and take some time to meditate on the truth…He knows your name. He has known your name from the beginning of time. And He has called you by name to be His child.
