“Because of Jehovah’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Yesterday, I asked some friends what God’s love felt like. The answers I got were more like results of God’s love or the benefits we receive. For example, we enjoy God’s peace, because He loves us.
But what I was asking was what God’s love “felt” like, not what God does or gives us as a result of His love. Clearly, God demonstrated His incredible, unfathomable love for us when Jesus died on the cross, but if the Creator of the universe loves us…shouldn’t we feel it more than we do? Or maybe you do feel it.
We can feel happy, angry, sad, excited, discouraged, lonely, weary, peaceful…and on and on. We know when we feel those emotions.
So what does God’s love actually feel like?
I’m wondering.
