How does this sound for a movie plot?

An army is preparing invasion plans to capture a city, so they send in spies to check things out. While there, the spies hide out in a prostitute’s house, but word leaks out and the hooker is told to surrender the men. She hides the men and lies, saying she didn’t know they were spies and that they’ve already left.

She then negotiates a deal with them to save her family during the coming invasion. After securing a good deal, she helps the men escape. During the invasion, she and her family are saved, but everyone else in the city is wiped out.

For some reason I see Lindsey Lohan playing the part. If you want someone older then I’d go with Catherine Zeta-Jones. Feel free to cast the part however you wish.

What I love about this story is that it really happened and the hooker, Rahab, is the great-grandmother (x 29) of Jesus. You just couldn’t make this stuff up.

It’s a great reminder that God loves broken people and will use them to accomplish His purposes. Of course, we’re all broken, aren’t we?
