This May Be Why You’re Suffering Today

I’ve made bad financial decisions and accumulated debt, which I’m still dealing with.

I’ve lost both parents–my dad to leukemia and my mom to pneumonia.

I’ve made many mistakes parenting a strong-willed child.

I’ve struggled in jobs that weren’t a good fit.

I battle worry and fear, which can lead to migraines.

I’ve responded very poorly to hard times and become angry and bitter.

I keep wrestling with the same sins.

I’ve had psoriasis (a skin disease) for thirty-six years.

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.  (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

Because I’ve experienced the things I mentioned and experienced God through them, He can use me to “come alongside someone else who is going through hard times.”

He will do the same thing with you.

Keep trusting Him.

Someone in your future needs you to be there with words of encouragement and understanding.
